Maurus silently moved along the corridor towards Lovegood Tower, where he would meet with Blanche for a midnight walk. He had brought an invisibility cloak with him just in case, so when he reached the entrance to the Tower, he pulled it off before knocking quietly on the door/portrait/whatever.

Blanche tiptoed down from her dormitory, and went into the common room. She wasn't there for more than two minutes when she heard a soft knocking on the portrait hole.

She slipped out of Lovegood Tower, and looked into the darkness for Maurus.

Maurus smiled. Blanche had been looking in entirely the wrong direction. "Blanche.. over here," he whispered, moving forward a little.

As Blanche turned around, she accidently ran into Maurus.

Maurus laughed quietly as Blanche ran into him. He took a step back after she regained her footing. "Where should we go tonight?"

Blanche stood steadily again, then thought about Maurus' question.

"Hmm...shall we go outside?" Blanche asked. It was lovely out, although cold.

"Sounds great!" Blanche said. She turned, to head towards the stairways. Blanche stopped, wondering why Maurus wasn't walking with her.

"Oh! Ok." Blanche said. She stood in front of Maurus, as he draped the cloak over both of them. She made sure to keep her ears open, though, just in case.

Blanche continued walking, until they reached the stairs. Walking down may be a bit difficult, she reasoned...
Stepping cautiously onto the first step, Blanche walked slowly, careful not to trip on the hem of the cloak.

While Blanche had been careful not to trip, Maurus was more focused on listening for footsteps and such to realize that he had stepped on the hem of the cloak. The cloak started to slip off, but that indication came too late for them to stop their path down the stairs, and sent the two children tumbling down the stairs.

OOCness: Hmm.... Got bored and decided to check up on Maurus and Blanche....Here's a post for you to play with if you ever come here anymore (like I ever do...)
