Sending for a Sister

Blanche headed up to the Hogwart's Owlery, to owl her sister Arden. As Blanche did not yet have an owl of her own, she opted to use a school owl.

Pushing open the door, Blanche stepped around a pile of owl turds just behind the door. She headed towards the back of the owlery, and looked for a good-looking owl. She didn't really care about looks, but as she had no idea how well each owl performed in delivery, she went by looks.

Choosing a proud looking barn owl, Blanche mentally marked it off as the one she was going to use. For now, she pulled out her letter, and reread it one last time.

Dear Arden,

Hi! How are you doing? How's the shop? Well, I just Owled to say hi, and talk a bit. Classes are going well. Sort of. I'm doing fine in classes, gradewise, except I have been getting a few detentions lately. But that's ok, because I only have five. The other day, I went for a swim in the lake. It was very refreshing, if a bit chilly. I've made new friends, too. Let's see... there's Kalista Mauresmo, Darcy Winters, and Emily Black. I've probably forgotten to write a few, but I'll remember them right after this letter is sent. And, thank you again for the Weasley's Wizard Wheezes supplies! I hope to put them to good use, soon. Also, I hope to see you soon!
